2024 TERM 4 WEEK 10
PRINCIPAL REPORT
With only five official school days left in the term, we will be closing the doors on our 2024 school year. We have an exceptional week celebrating the achievements of our students, showcasing their talents and farewelling our Year 6 students. Thank you to all our families for taking the time to attend our Awards Ceremony, End of Year Showcase and our Year 6 graduation dinner. It has also been very rewarding to chat with each of our 2025 Prep students and their parent/carer in the past few weeks. They are really looking forward to coming to ‘big’ school and are certainly demonstrating readiness for the new challenge.

Report cards were emailed to our families on Tuesday afternoon. Please check your spam or junk mail box if you have not received it. It will appear on your QParents account as well. Paper copies are only provided to those families that request them to be printed from the office. As a formal interview period for this semester was held at the start of this term, there will be no formal interview time. If you would like to meet with your student’ teacher, please call the ladies in the Office to make a meeting time.
Booklists for 2025 were sent home in hard copy on Tuesday and emailed to families. They will be uploaded onto our school website shortly. Please note that the official start date for the 2025 school year for students is TUESDAY 28 JANUARY. Staff will be hard at work in the previous week with the school office open from Monday 20 January from 8-3pm for uniform pick up, invoice payments etc. The staff will welcome families into school the week prior to drop off stationery if they would like. We will notify of the times on our Amamoor State School Facebook page.
Remember to collect your child’s medication from school before the holidays and store it correctly at home. Learn more about storing medications such as asthma inhalers and adrenaline auto-injectors (e.g. EpiPen® or Anapen®). Check the expiry dates on all medications regularly. If your child requires this medication for the 2025 school year, make sure that it is in-date before taking it back to school.
As we approach the holiday season, I want to extend my warmest wishes to all of you. May this festive season bring joy, relaxation, and time well spent with loved ones. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday and a happy, healthy New Year!
