2023 Term 4 Week 7
Principal Report
Reports
Teachers are busy completing assessments and observations of student work in preparation for end of year reports. Reports provide a point in time judgement on your child’s learning progress and are reflective of work samples and assessments completed in second semester. Reports will be issued on the final week of school with the expectation is that classwork and assessment of learning will continue up until this time.
Sun Safety and Hats
Parents have an important role to ensure their children establish healthy sun protection habits during the early years. Research into the effectiveness of role modelling shows us that adopting sun protective behaviours yourself means your children will be more likely to do the same. Please model and remind your child too:
- Wear appropriate sun safe clothing - with collars and long sleeved where possible
- Apply sunscreen 30+ before school each day
- Wear an appropriate hat for the activity
- Stand or sit in the shade where ever possible
- Drink plenty of water when the temperature is above 30.
Children will be allowed to have water bottles in their rooms as children need to rehydrate more often in the summer months.
There is a lot happening in the final weeks of this school year so please be sure to take note of all the events in the Date Claimers section.
Regards,
Mitch Brown | Principal
